Richard Williams, known mainly for being the creator and animator of Who cheated on Roger Rabbit ?, has died at age 86 on August 16 in Bristol (United Kingdom), as his family has confirmed to The Guardian.

Williams managed to win two Oscars thanks to the famous Robert Zemeckis movie that is still an icon and a classic today regarding animated films that mix real action. The producer and director also worked on other films such as The Pink Panther Attack Again or The Return of the Pink Panther.

The animation techniques that Williams and his team used in their movies today are still used to create CGI characters that we see today in many blockbuster movies. His first Oscar got it thanks to an animated short entitled A Christmas Carol.
