Sony Pictures has released a statement in which they say they are disappointed with the departure of Kevin Feige as the producer of Peter Parker's films.
Through an official statement, Sony Pictures has addressed the current situation of its agreement with Disney to collaborate in the production of films with characters from the Spider-Man universe present at MCU.
In this statement, Sony says that the situation has been misunderstood and that the decision to break this collaboration was born of Sony, just as they say they are disappointed with the departure of Kevin Feige as a producer of the films that Sony made with the Marvel licenses.
Despite what has been said at Sony, they have had no problems in devoting good words to Feige and have recognized that the producer may have too much work to focus on an IP that is not his property.
In the statement, they also say they hope that in the future the situation will change and that both studies will be able to form a team again. For now, the march of Tom Holland's Spider-Man at MCU has been devastating news for fans more loyal to the character and Marvel Studios.
