"Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" did not only spend a staggering $ 380 million on a budget of $ 90 million worldwide, but Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman's hilarious animation fun also came under international scrutiny celebrated (we gave it 4.5 stars) and creamed at this year's Academy Awards, the trophy for the best-animated film.
Sony and Marvel have now announced that the untitled sequel will start on April 8, 2022, in US cinemas. The German theatrical release is still pending, but we assume that "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2" in this country on 7 April 2022 starts in the movie theaters.
Joaquim Dos Santos ("Avatar - The Lord of the Elements") stages the Spidey adventure that continues the story of Miles Morales. The script was written by Dave Callaham, who is also responsible for the screenplays of the upcoming comic book films "Wonder Woman 2" and "Shang-Chi".
THAT'S WHY IT'S IN "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse"
Miles Morales (voiced in the original: Shameik Moore) developed after the bite of a mysterious spider unimaginable abilities: He can crawl up on walls, has superhuman powers and develops a sense of spider, which warns him of dangers. Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man (Chris Pine), whom Miles met by chance soon afterward, has similar powers.
However, this remains not the only other spider-man he meets: After a powerful gangster boss manages to open a portal into various parallel universes, another Spider-Man (Jake Johnson) and u. a. Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) and Spider-Man Noir (Nicolas Cage) on ...
