The preview illustrates the sexist environment within the successful conservative US broadcaster Fox News, the different ways in which the women concerned to deal with the problem and the struggle for countermeasures, which then lead to the public scandal.
"BOMBSHELL - THE END OF SILENCE" IS BASED ON TRUE FACTS
Fox News founder Roger Ailes (in the film: John Lithgow) was accused of sexual harassment by several employees of his company in 2016. He shamelessly exploited his position of power behind the scenes. The presenter Gretchen Carlson (Kidman) has been silent for years, but now it is enough for her: she goes public with her accusations.
Little by little, other women follow, like the initially reluctant Megyn Kelly (Theron). Meanwhile, the young and freshly joined Fox (and fictional) Kayla Pospisil (Robbie) is torn between her career desires and her disgust.
Ailes and his lawyer Susan Estrich (Allison Janney) finally use dirty means to save his skin.
THE OSCAR OPPORTUNITIES FROM "BOMBSHELL"
“Bombshell” by director Jay Roach (“Austin Powers”) is already considered a hot candidate for the Oscars, among other things due to its explosive and up-to-date theme and the multi-layered figure drawing.

"Bombshell - The end of silence" will start in Indian cinemas on January 13, 2020 - shortly after the Oscar ceremony that takes place on February 9.
