East Godavari, Allavaram: Kunche Pradeep, a resident of Tummalapalli village in Mandal, has been a real hero in collaboration with veteran hero Mahesh Babu for the month-long Babu heart surgery. Babu has undergone heart surgery at Vijayawada's Andhra hospital on May 31, celebrating the birthday of superstar Krishna. The couple was born in the first phase.

Initially healthy, Babu noticed changes in his body and started treatment at a private hospital in Amalapuram. Doctors who examined Babu found that he was suffering from rare heart disease and urged his parents to have immediate surgery.

Vijayawada or Hyderabad would have to be taken for better treatment, he said. Pradeep contacted the doctors at Andhra Hospital Heart and Brain Institute in Vijayawada last month to find out that his friend Mahesh Babu's trust in Amalapuram was doing free surgery for his children.

Two days later, on June 2, surgeons performed the test. Babu's health after surgery was a concern. After two weeks of treatment, Babu recovered and was sent back to his hometown after he was diagnosed with an ICU. Pradeep said Babu is currently in full health. He thanked Mahesh Babu, the hero who has given rebirth to his Babu.
