Warner Bros. indefinitely delays Christopher Nolan's 'Tenet' and postpones 'Warren Record: Demon-Forced' to June 4, 2021.
The reopening and normal operation of US theaters in a post-confinement stage is complicated by the delay of Christopher Nolan's Tenet, which Warner Bros. has decided to indefinitely postpone until it imminently announces a new release date. The film with John David Washington and Robert Pattinson was going to arrive on July 17 and from there, due to the coronavirus pandemic, it moved to July 31 first and August 12 thereafter.

Warner has also decided to delay the Warren File: Forced by the devil from September 2020 to June 4, 2021, although in this case, it is also because some 'reshoots' indicated for April could not be held. Wonder Woman 1984 (October 2) and Dune (December 18) remain for 2020, although they could undergo changes if coronavirus infections do not remit.

The case of Tenet, Christopher Nolan's new job, is more complicated than it seems. China is the second most important market in the world and exhibitors in the Asian country cannot currently screen films lasting more than two hours. The science-fiction thriller is over two and a half hours, which means it won't be released in China just yet.

If Disney doesn't release a new delay for its Mulan live-action remake, now set for August 21, this would be the first major major premiere since the pandemic. Will Nolan become the savior of the industry and will Tenet arrive in 2020? Time will tell.
