A study confirms with data the success of the 'Star Wars' series, which could release the trailer for season 2 at the end of August.
Star Wars fans are as loyal as they are critical, but the success of The Mandalorian has surpassed the known fan universe. According to a report by Parrot Analytics, commissioned by The Hollywood Reporter, Jon Favreau's series is the most-viewed original fiction of any of the new 'streaming' fiction content services over the past nine months.

The study compared the fictions produced by Apple TV+, Disney+, HBO Max, and Peacock, and, in this sense, the data are conclusive: the demand for views of the first season of The Mandalorian was 55 times that of any other television series during the same week.
Although viewers and industry professionals already imagined that The Mandalorian has managed to rise as one of the most talked-about and most impactful Star Wars series of recent years, this intuition is now confirmed with a formal study about it. How much did they have to do with their hit Baby Yoda and the numerous memes and images that have flooded the Internet in the months of the Star Wars series premiere?

On the other hand, if Jon Favreau confirmed in April that the second season of The Mandalorian was finally due to premiere in October 2020, as originally planned – that is, the Covid-19 would not have presumably affected the production schedule – rumors about the first trailer of this second installment have already begun to appear in the media.
Comicbook.com claims that the first trailer for The Mandalorian's T2 will arrive towards the end of the month, about August 21 or 22, coinciding with the NBA playoffs, a sporting event that is also one of the most important television advertising peaks of the summer season.
Considering that the NBA has resumed sports competition at the Disneyworld Sports Complex facility in Orlando, Florida, and considering that The Mandalorian arrives in October, certainly that rumor makes sense. However, we remind you that we are moving in the realm of speculation and that at the moment there is no official confirmation.
