After initial rumors, Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow has now confirmed that Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum will be back in "Jurassic World 3". And their roles are bigger than expected...Not a few fans were disappointed when Jeff Goldblum's highly acclaimed appearance as iconic chaos theorist. Ian Malcolm in "Jurassic World 2" just turned out to be a better cameo. Since then, there have always been hopeful rumors that the three original stars from "Jurassic Park", ie Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, and Sam Neill, should emerge as a kind of finishing in the entire Dino series "Jurassic World 3".
As confirmed by Deadline, "Ian Malcolm" (Goldblum), "Ellie Sattler" (Dern) and "Alan Grant" (Neill) actually return to the big screen in more significant roles than Goldblum's hearing in Jurassic World 2 ".

Dern, who last proved to be Admiral Holdo in "Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi" blockbuster potential, played Ellie Sattler for the last time 18 years ago in a cameo in "Jurassic Park III". This was also Neill's last appearance as Dr. Alan Grant. And the world has changed a lot during this time for the three main characters.
After the events of the second film, the dinosaurs in "Jurassic World 3" now live freely on earth. This leads to all sorts of clashes between humans and dinosaurs, who first have to get used to the common co-existence - as was recently seen in the first Jurassic short film "Battle At Big Rock". It will, therefore, be seen how Malcolm, Sattler, and Grant will deal with these new challenges.
"Jurassic World 3", again directed by Trevorrow, will be released on June 10, 2021, in German cinemas.
